Milwaukee Food & City Tours and Travel Deliciously have joined forces for this food and wine event in Milwaukee, where you’ll enjoy tasting our way through Italy’s Amalfi Coast, Northern Portugal, a region called “Old Europe” (Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Austria), and tropical Costa Rica. Each pairing is more than a bite, it’s a glimpse into the flavors and stories of these unforgettable places.

What began as a project showcasing Milwaukee’s culinary heritage has become much more. Nearly two decades ago, Theresa Nemetz began offering culinary tours to tell the story of German, Italian, Polish, and Irish immigrants in cities such as Chicago, Milwaukee, and Detroit. Our tours quickly captured the hearts of many, prompting us to expand even further across the Great Lakes region. We have quickly grown a fanbase of tour attendees who keep returning and asking, “Can we travel with you?” This enthusiasm led to what we now call Travel Deliciously.
Travel planning can feel intimidating. Between choosing the right destination, figuring out the best time to go, and organizing all the details, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed before you even book a flight. Through Travel Deliciously, we are excited to take guests beyond our hometown of Milwaukee into the heart of some of the world’s most delicious culinary destinations.
That’s where Travel Deliciously comes in. As we build itineraries for our culinary vacations, food is at the core of what we offer to our guests. We pride ourselves on offering itineraries that allow our travelers to see the bucket list sights and delve into the culture through its cuisine and food experiences. We offer intimate encounters, small groups, and delicious excursions. Our itineraries offer activities such as cooking and baking classes, a chance to catch dinner with local fishermen, and the opportunity to travel with local chefs. How long is the event?
The experience will last approximately 1.5 hours, including guided tastings and destination highlights.
What’s included in the ticket price?
Your $45 ticket includes 4 wine tastings, 4 paired small bites, a guided tasting with Charles E. Fromage, and previews of our 2025 and early 2026 travel itineraries.
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope—just bring your curiosity and appetite! Everything you need for the tasting will be provided.
Can I buy a ticket at the door?
Advance booking is required as space is limited. If tickets are still available the day of, we’ll update availability online.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes, this event is 21+ only due to alcohol service. Please bring a valid photo ID.
Are dietary restrictions accommodated?
We’ll do our best! Please contact us in advance at gm@traveldeliciously.com or 414-567-8018 to discuss any dietary needs and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
Is there parking available?
There is ample street parking
What if I need to cancel?
Tickets are non-refundable, but if you can’t make it, feel free to transfer your ticket to a friend—just email us in advance to update the name.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your reservation and provide us 72 hours or more notice when doing so, you will receive a full refund. Any cancellations requested with less than 72 hours notice will not be refunded unless you added the Tour Ticket Insurance option for $2 per ticket during the check-out process. No-shows will be charged the full price unless they had taken out the tour insurance option.
In the event that you must cancel less than 72 hours prior to the tour date/start time, and did not have Tour Ticket Insurance, no refund will be provided.
