Overnight at DoubleTree Suites Detroit Downtown-Fort Shelby | Snacks, Lunch, and Dinner Included
After picking everyone up at their designated locations, we will head to Detroit. Your Tour Director will lead you on a snack scavenger hunt throughout the day. Learn all about the different food and snack specialties from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan as we pass through each state. We’ll stop for lunch at Portillo’s, an Illinois favorite, and try either a Chicago Dog with all the fixings or an Italian beef Sandwich, and you’ll see why Chicagoans have called this a favorite since 1963! Before checking into our hotel in Detroit, we’ll have dinner at a delicious homestyle restaurant in Michigan.

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll head to our reserved seating for the 100th Annual America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. You’ll have an amazing up-close view to see the star-studded line-up and one-of-a-kind floats, colorful costumes, high soaring balloons, thunderous marching bands, and dancing elves. It will definitely be a Thanksgiving you won’t forget! This afternoon, we’ll meet our local Detroit guide for a stroll down Woodward Avenue and explore Detroit’s festive Christmas Market. Tonight, leave the cooking to us as we enjoy a Thanksgiving Feast with our new friends at a local restaurant.
Overnight at Courtyard Dearborn Detroit | Breakfast and Dinner Included
This morning, we will explore the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. Step into a world of past innovations, filled with iconic artifacts that changed the way people live, work, and move. From the bus where Rosa Parks made history to the limousine of President John F. Kennedy. Enjoy lunch on your own at the museum’s café. This afternoon, our local Detroit guide joins us for a guided tour to see Book Tower, Spirit Plaza, and the Renaissance Center. Followed by a guided tour of the beautiful 1920s-built Art Deco-designed skyscraper, the Guardian Building. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the longest-running restaurant in Detroit for an amazing Italian dinner at Amore da Roma.
Breakfast and Lunch included
After breakfast, we will start making our way back home. We’ll stop in Battle Creek for a tour of the town that is home to Kellogg’s. We’ll learn all about the cereal history in this town before having lunch in an antique filled river front restaurant. We’ll then head through Indiana, making a few rest stops along the way, before dropping everyone off at their designated drop-off locations. Then we’ll bid farewell to our new friends we made this Thanksgiving.
