Meeting Point Air-Inclusive Guests:
Your Trip begins at Chicago O’Hare International Airport on Sunday, September 13 th, where a Travel Deliciously Tour Representative will meet you at your gate and ensure a smooth group departure to Frankfurt, Germany (FRA). Round-trip airfare is included.

Meeting Point Land-Only Guests:
Guests arranging their own flights should book travel that arrives at Frankfurt Airport (FRA).

Ending Point

Ending Point Air-Inclusive Guests:
Your trip will conclude with an included group transfer to the Munich International Airport (MUC) for your return flight to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). Your Travel Deliciously Tour Representative will assist you with your departure, ensuring a smooth, stress-free journey home. Round-trip airfare is included.

Welcome Dinner: Begin your journey with a festive welcome dinner and onsite orientation in Frankfurt, featuring traditional Hessian dishes.

Meals: Enjoy 8 breakfasts and 7 dinners as outlined in the itinerary, including Oktoberfest dinner with reserved seating, pretzel-making workshop, and drink and dessert tastings.

Transportation: Private motorcoach transportation between destinations for the duration of the tour.

Local Guide: Fully escorted tour with an experienced English-speaking guide and trip representative to ensure a seamless and immersive experience.

Gratuities: All gratuities for meals, the Tour Director, Tour Representative, and driver are included.

Taxes and Service Charges: All applicable taxes and service charges included.

Optional Add-On: Round-trip airport transfers from/to O’Hare International Airport will be available to book closer to your departure. Mark, if you are interested in the transfer on your reservation form.

Not Included

Airfare (for Land-Only Package): Guests booking the Land-Only Package are responsible for arranging their own flights into Frankfurt (FRA) and out of Munich (MUC), along with their airport transfers.

Airport Parking & Transfers: Parking fees at the airport and transfers to/from the airport from your home.

Meals & Beverages: We include most meals during the tour. However, there may be occasions when lunch or dinner is not provided, allowing you the opportunity to explore local restaurants and enjoy regional cuisine on your own.

Personal Expenses: Laundry, phone or data charges, and shopping.

Passport/Visa Fees: Passport fees or visa-related expenses. Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after the tour ends. Starting at the end of 2026, U.S. citizens will need to obtain an ETIAS authorization to travel to Germany, Austria, and other Schengen Area countries. More details on how to apply for this will be sent to you before your trip.

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is not included but is highly recommended. We can assist in selecting the right policy if needed. If you have any preexisting condition, you must purchase your travel insurance within 21 days of booking your trip.

Additional Notes

Physical Activity: Some excursions involve walking on uneven surfaces, cobblestone streets, and within large market areas. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended for your safety and comfort during these activities. You must be able to walk at least a mile per day.

Weather Considerations: September in Germany/Austria brings average temperatures ranging from 70°F during the day to 50°F at night.

What to Wear & Pack: Pack layers, including a raincoat and comfortable walking shoes suitable for walking on uneven surfaces. A compact umbrella may also be helpful for unexpected weather.

Time Zone: Germany and Austria are both in Central European Time (CET), which is UTC+1.

Voltage: Germany and Austria use a 230V electrical system at 50Hz. The standard power plugs are Type C and Type F, which have two round prongs. If your devices use a different plug type or are not compatible with 230V, bring a plug adapter and voltage converter for proper use.

Currency: Germany and Austria use the Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted in all locations, but we recommend carrying some local currency for smaller purchases. We recommend starting with €100-€200. ATMs will be available along the route if you need to withdraw more cash.

Dietary Restrictions: Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements for your meals during the tour.

Travel Documents & Visas: Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after the tour concludes.

Starting in late 2026, U.S. citizens will need to obtain an ETIAS authorization to travel to Germany and Austria. More details will be sent to you regarding how to apply for this authorization.
