This 6-day, 5-night culinary and wine journey through Sonoma County offers a fully immersive exploration of Northern California’s wine country. From sunrise balloon rides to hands-on tastings and seasonal cooking classes, experience the bold flavors, relaxed elegance, and small-town charm that define this iconic region.

Meeting Point
Your adventure begins in Sonoma, California.
Guests will meet at the designated tour hotel, where your Travel Deliciously host will welcome you and get you settled in for the journey ahead. Airfare is not included in this experience. If you’d like assistance arranging an airport transfer from San Francisco or Santa Rosa, we’re happy to help coordinate transportation to ensure a smooth arrival.

After a memorable journey through wine country, your Travel Deliciously host will be available to assist with check-out and departure details. Welcome Dinner: Onsite orientation with a festive welcome dinner and wine pairings hosted at a local winery.

Transportation: Private transportation throughout the itinerary, including winery visits and excursions. Airport transfers available upon request.
Trip Host: Fully hosted by a Travel Deliciously representative with on-the-ground support from local guides and partners.
Gratuities: All gratuities for included meals, hosts, and guides.
Taxes & Service Charges: All applicable taxes and service fees are included.
Not Included
Airfare: Flights to and from California are not included. Guests are responsible for booking their own air travel; however, we’re happy to assist with flight recommendations or booking support upon request. Airport transfers can also be coordinated as needed.
Airport Parking & Transfers: Parking at your departure airport and transportation to/from your home is not included.
Meals & Beverages: While most meals are included, there may be free afternoons or evenings where you’ll have the opportunity to dine at your leisure and explore local restaurants on your own.
Personal Expenses: Items of a personal nature such as laundry, phone/data charges, and hotel incidentals are not included.
Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is not included but is strongly recommended. We’re happy to assist you in exploring coverage options.
Additional Notes
Physical Activity: This tour involves moderate physical activity, including walking through vineyards, small towns, and winery properties, some of which may have uneven terrain. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
Weather Considerations: March in Sonoma brings mild spring temperatures ranging from the mid-50s to low 70s °F (12°C to 22°C). Expect cool mornings and evenings with warmer afternoons. Rain is possible, so packing layers and a light waterproof jacket or umbrella is advised. Comfortable, weather-appropriate shoes are essential for exploring outdoor sites.
What to Wear & Pack: Layering is key for spring in Sonoma. We recommend breathable clothing for daytime activities—such as long-sleeve shirts, pants, or dresses—along with a sweater or light jacket for the evenings. Bring a rain jacket or umbrella just in case. Comfortable walking shoes are a must, and don’t forget sunglasses and a hat for sun protection during vineyard visits or outdoor tastings.
Time Zone: Sonoma, California is in the Pacific Time Zone (PT), which is UTC-8. During March, Daylight Saving Time is typically in effect, making it UTC-7.
Voltage: Standard U.S. voltage and plug types apply—no adapters are necessary.
Currency: U.S. Dollar (USD). Credit cards are widely accepted throughout the region. We recommend carrying a small amount of cash for local shops, tips, or incidental expenses.
Dietary Restrictions: We’re happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions with advance notice. Please let us know of any allergies or special meal requirements prior to travel so we can ensure a great dining experience.
Travel Documents: No passport is required for U.S. citizens traveling domestically. However, as of May 7, 2025, all travelers flying within the U.S. will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification (such as a passport) to board domestic flights. Please check your ID in advance and ensure it meets TSA requirements.
