Mississippi River Road Gems

Step away for a thoughtfully curated one-night, two-day tour that blends faith, history, and the timeless beauty of the Mississippi River.

Our journey begins with a relaxed departure and a stop at a European bakery, then continues to the Saint Francis Hermitage, where we’ll enjoy lunch and meaningful time with French nuns who continue a centuries-old tradition of service and contemplation. The afternoon unfolds at Villa Louis, featuring tea and a special talk highlighting the lives and legacies of three generations of remarkable women who shaped the Upper Midwest.

We continue to Dubuque, where river views, history, and hospitality come together. Enjoy a guided tour and dinner at Potosi Brewery, followed by an overnight stay at the elegant Hotel Julien Dubuque.

Day two features a guided exploration of Dubuque, including Tiffany stained-glass windows at St. Luke’s, a peaceful walk through the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, and a progressive lunch. Our return journey includes stops at Sinsinawa Mound Center, the fascinating Dickeyville Grotto, and a comfortable rest stop before returning to Milwaukee.

This enriching escape offers space for reflection, connection, learning, and laughter—set against the scenic backdrop of the Mississippi River.
