Additional Notes
Physical Activity: Some excursions involve walking on uneven surfaces, such as historic cobblestone streets, sandy beaches, and nature trails. Comfortable walking shoes or sandals with good support are recommended. Participants should be prepared for moderate physical activity, including snorkeling and light hiking opportunities.
Weather Considerations: February in Puerto Rico brings warm, tropical weather with temperatures typically ranging from 75°F to 85°F (24°C to 29°C). Expect mostly sunny days with occasional light showers, especially in coastal and rainforest areas. Lightweight, breathable clothing is ideal, and we recommend bringing a light rain jacket or small umbrella. Sun protection is essential—pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat.
What to Wear & Pack: Plan for warm days and comfortable evenings. Pack lightweight clothing such as shorts, t-shirts, sundresses, and swimwear for daytime activities. Include a light jacket or sweater for cooler air-conditioned venues or breezy evenings. Comfortable walking shoes are key for city tours and outdoor excursions. Bring water shoes for beach and snorkeling activities, as well as reef-safe sunscreen to protect marine life during your aquatic adventures.
Time Zone: Puerto Rico operates on Atlantic Standard Time (AST), which is one hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time (EST) and two hours ahead of Central Standard Time (CST) in February. Puerto Rico does not observe daylight saving time.
Voltage: Puerto Rico uses the same electrical system as the mainland United States (120V, 60Hz), so no plug adapters or converters are needed for U.S. travelers.
Currency: The official currency of Puerto Rico is the U.S. Dollar (USD). Credit cards are widely accepted across the island, but it’s a good idea to carry some cash for small purchases, local shops, and tips.
Dietary Restrictions: Please inform us of any dietary restrictions, allergies, or special meal preferences ahead of time so we can make appropriate arrangements throughout the trip. Puerto Rico offers many options for vegetarian, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly dining.
Travel Documents: A REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or a valid U.S. passport is required for air travel to Puerto Rico for U.S. citizens. Please ensure your identification meets TSA requirements before departure.
Terms and Conditions: Please read our trip terms and conditions.
