Guests will meet at the designated tour hotel, where your Travel Deliciously host will welcome you and get you settled in for the journey ahead. Airfare is not included in this experience. If you’d like assistance arranging an airport transfer from San Francisco or Santa Rosa, we’re happy to help coordinate transportation to ensure a smooth arrival.

After a memorable journey through wine country, your Travel Deliciously host will be available to assist with check-out and departure details. Not Included

Airfare: Flights to and from California are not included. Guests are responsible for booking their own air travel; however, we’re happy to assist with flight recommendations or booking support upon request. Airport transfers can also be coordinated as needed.

Airport Parking & Transfers: Parking at your departure airport and transportation to/from your home is not included.

Meals & Beverages: While most meals are included, there may be free afternoons or evenings where you’ll have the opportunity to dine at your leisure and explore local restaurants on your own.

Personal Expenses: Items of a personal nature such as laundry, phone/data charges, and hotel incidentals are not included.

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is not included but is strongly recommended. We’re happy to assist you in exploring coverage options.

Additional Notes

Physical Activity: This tour involves moderate physical activity, including walking through vineyards, small towns, and winery properties, some of which may have uneven terrain. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

Weather Considerations: March in Sonoma brings mild spring temperatures ranging from the mid-50s to low 70s °F (12°C to 22°C). Expect cool mornings and evenings with warmer afternoons. Rain is possible, so packing layers and a light waterproof jacket or umbrella is advised. Comfortable, weather-appropriate shoes are essential for exploring outdoor sites.

What to Wear & Pack: Layering is key for spring in Sonoma. We recommend breathable clothing for daytime activities—such as long-sleeve shirts, pants, or dresses—along with a sweater or light jacket for the evenings. Bring a rain jacket or umbrella just in case. Comfortable walking shoes are a must, and don’t forget sunglasses and a hat for sun protection during vineyard visits or outdoor tastings.

Time Zone: Sonoma, California is in the Pacific Time Zone (PT), which is UTC-8. During March, Daylight Saving Time is typically in effect, making it UTC-7.

Voltage: Standard U.S. voltage and plug types apply—no adapters are necessary.

Currency: U.S. Dollar (USD). Credit cards are widely accepted throughout the region. We recommend carrying a small amount of cash for local shops, tips, or incidental expenses.

Travel Documents: No passport is required for U.S. citizens traveling domestically. However, as of May 7, 2025, all travelers flying within the U.S. will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification (such as a passport) to board domestic flights. Please check your ID in advance and ensure it meets TSA requirements.

Day 2 Monday, March 23, 2026: Rise Above the Vines

Your first full day begins with a choice: start the morning with a breathtaking optional sunrise hot air balloon ride over the vineyards of Sonoma, offering panoramic views from Carneros to the San Francisco Bay. Whether you soar or sleep in, all guests will gather afterward at the historic Sangiacomo Family Wines estate for a scenic vineyard walk and gourmet Champagne breakfast, featuring croissants, pastries, cheeses, and charcuterie.

Following a midday break at the hotel, the afternoon takes a creative turn with the Winemaker for a Day experience. Blend your own wine, participate in a judging session, and enjoy a relaxed meal paired with your creations.

The day begins with a visit to Benovia Winery for a scenic vineyard tour and private tasting among the vines. A gourmet picnic lunch will be beautifully set and ready for you on-site, complete with regional flavors and wine service.

In the afternoon, head to Rodney Strong Vineyards for a guided tour and curated tasting of their acclaimed estate wines. After a brief refresh at the hotel, your evening concludes with a memorable winemaker-hosted dinner at Intent Wines, where bold, expressive wines are paired with seasonal, locally inspired cuisine.

Begin your day with a hands-on cheese experience at The Epicurean Connection, led by award-winning cheesemaker Sheana Davis. Discover the craft behind artisan cheese-making and enjoy a curated wine and cheese tasting that highlights the best of Sonoma’s local flavors.

In the afternoon, ascend to Kunde Family Winery for their renowned Mountain Top Tour & Tasting. The experience begins with an immersive tour of the wine cave, followed by a guided walk through the estate vineyards, where you’ll learn about the land, the vines, and the family’s winemaking legacy. At 1,400 feet, enjoy small-production estate wines paired with artisan cheese and charcuterie, all set against sweeping views of Sonoma Valley.

In the evening, gather for an intimate private dinner with Raymond Burr Vineyard, hosted by Adrian. Enjoy a multi-course, wine-paired meal that celebrates the spirit and richness of Sonoma.

Spend the afternoon enjoying free time to shop, sip, or explore, then regroup in the evening for an unforgettable farewell dinner hosted by the Buchers—an over-the-top sendoff in a vineyard setting with heartfelt toasts and final glasses raised.
