Get ready to fall in love with the vibrant coastal charm of Marseille! Our guided adventure begins as we wander the colorful streets of Le Panier, soak in the lively atmosphere of the iconic Vieux-Port, and experience the sights, scents, and flavors of Marché des Capucins. Grab some lunch on your own at this unique market, which offers local produce, cheese, wine, and delicious meals. In the afternoon, we’ll set sail on a scenic ferry ride across the beautiful Mediterranean waters to the smallest island of the Frioul archipelago. History comes to life at the legendary Château d’If, a 16th-century fortress. Explore its dungeons, walk the ancient ramparts, and take in breathtaking panoramic views of Marseille’s stunning coastline. In the evening, we’ll return to the mainland to savor a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. The perfect way to end an unforgettable day in this seaside city.

After a delicious breakfast at our hotel, we’ll set off to the elegant city of Aix-en-Provence, where a knowledgeable local guide will be waiting to bring the city’s rich history and charm to life. We will stroll through the iconic Cours Mirabeau to admire its grand fountains and mansions, and visit Old Town, where every corner reveals a postcard-perfect scene. This afternoon, we are in for a tasty treat during a private macaron and pastry workshop. Under expert guidance, you’ll learn the secrets behind crafting delicate French pastries. The sweetest reward comes at the end when you savor your own creations. Later, we’ll check into our hotel in Aix-en-Provence, where you’ll have time to explore at your own pace. Browse chic boutiques, discover hidden squares, sip coffee at a charming café, or simply relax and soak in the Provençal atmosphere. Start the day with breakfast and then depart Aix-en-Provence and set off to discover some of Provence’s most charming villages. Our journey takes us through the colorful ochre landscapes of Roussillon, the peaceful streets of Cadenet, the hilltop beauty of Gordes, and the canals and antique shops of L’Isle‑sur‑la‑Sorgue, where we’ll enjoy guided tours and time to explore at a relaxed pace. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Domaine Bastide du Laval for a delightful wine and olive tasting, followed by a picnic lunch surrounded by the Provençal countryside. To top off the day, we’ll arrive in the historic city of Avignon, check into our hotel, and gather together to savor a delicious dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Avignon.

We’ll depart from our hotel for a delightful excursion to the charming hilltop village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, known as the Wine Village. Overlooking the sun-drenched plains of the Comtat and miles of rolling vineyards, this picturesque village is devoted almost entirely to producing its world-famous wine, Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Here, we’ll step inside one of Provence’s grand historic homes for a memorable three-course cooking class, where you’ll learn to prepare classic Provençal specialties using fresh regional ingredients. Afterward, sit down to savor the delicious meal you’ve created. Bon Appétit! We will then return to Avignon for a guided tour of this historic city. Along the way, we’ll enjoy a tasting of the celebrated regional red wine at Domaines Mousset and visit the magnificent Palais des Papes—one of the largest and most significant medieval Gothic buildings in Europe. To end the day, we’ll return to our hotel in Avignon, where the night is yours to enjoy and have dinner at your leisure.

We will begin the day with breakfast and then we’ll set out for the charming Provençal town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Here you will have time to walk through the picturesque streets. We’ll stop at the town’s vibrant local market, an ideal place to browse colorful stalls and sample regional specialties. We will then gather for lunch together at a local restaurant in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Next, we’ll travel to the dramatic hilltop village of Les Baux-de-Provence, perched high in the Alpilles mountains. Here, you’ll enjoy walking through its winding medieval lanes, historic stone houses, and breathtaking viewpoints.  Our afternoon brings a truly unforgettable experience at Carrières de Lumières. Inside this former limestone quarry, enormous walls serve as a canvas for a spectacular multimedia show, with masterpieces of art projected across the cavernous space, accompanied by music. For the evening, the night is yours to enjoy and have dinner at your leisure.

Today we’ll bid farewell to Avignon and set off toward the dazzling Mediterranean coast, arriving in the seaside city of Cannes on the famed French Riviera. Here, we’ll enjoy a short city tour, including a stroll along the iconic Boulevard de la Croisette, a palm-lined promenade famous for its luxury boutiques and sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. After taking in the Riviera atmosphere, we’ll sit down together for a delightful three-course lunch at a local restaurant, savoring the fresh flavors of the coast. After a great meal, we will continue along one of Europe’s most breathtaking coastlines en route to Nice, France. Once we arrive, enjoy a free evening to explore the city at your own pace.

It will be a wonderful day as we’ll set off along one of Europe’s most breathtaking coastal routes toward the dazzling principality of Monaco, where glamour and history meet in iconic Monte Carlo. With our expert guide leading the way, we’ll uncover the highlights of this luxurious destination, pausing to admire its most famous landmarks and soak in unforgettable views. You’ll even step inside to explore an extraordinary collection of rare and vintage automobiles. After free time to enjoy lunch in stylish Monte Carlo, we’ll continue to the sun-kissed town of Menton, known for its colorful streets and citrus heritage. Following a short guided tour, we’ll roll up our sleeves for a hands-on citrus baking workshop (making of different baked goods using various citrus fruits) ending, of course, with the delicious reward of tasting your own creations. Next, we’ll continue to Fréjus for a guided stroll through its historic streets, followed by a delightful wine tasting at a charming local estate. For the evening, we’ll return to Nice to celebrate our final night together with a delicious farewell dinner at a local restaurant—an unforgettable ending to a remarkable journey.

Air-Inclusive guests will board the included group transfer to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE) for the return flight to Chicago O’Hare (ORD). Your airfare and airport transfer are included, ensuring a smooth, seamless departure.

Land-Only guests will check out independently and are responsible for their own departure transportation. We recommend arranging flights that depart later in the day to allow time for breakfast and a relaxed morning check-out.
